In a somewhat surprising turn of events, 2K Games is currently hosting a big sale on almost all their iOS titles where most are only $1.99 a piece. Even their most popular game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown has been marked down by 50% bringing it to just $9.99 and 2K Drive is only $0.99. In total, nine game from 2K Games are on sale ranging from $0.99 to $1.99 each with the exception of a couple (NBA 2K14 and XCOM: Enemy Unknown). If you have your eye on any of the games listed below you’ll need to be quick, the sale runs through February 3rd which is this Monday.

It’s that time of the year folks, all the sales are coming and going where you can pick up some fantastic games for cheap prices. After being announced back in March, XCOM: Enemy Unknown is finally dropping for iOS this Thursday. The game will be rolling out worldwide on June 20 with a $19.99 price tag, which may seem like a heavy price to pay, is half the cost of its console counterpart, being a complete port and all. Polygon reports that Enemy Unknown is compatible with the iPhone 4S+, iPad Mini, iPad 2+ and iPod Touch 5G.

The game will support Game Center and thus will allow saved games to carry across to multiple devices. Polygon also states that while the multiplayer feature of the game will not be available at launch, it will be added via an free update in the future. Continue reading this post ->

Publisher 2K Games have announced XCOM: Enemy Unknown is heading to iOS! The game is being ported to the mobile platform by 2K China and is expected to be launching in the summer with a premium price tag. Putting up more than a dollar shouldn’t be too hard if XCOM delivers. The game reportedly includes the ‘Elite Soldier DLC’ but will be without some maps due to file-size restrictions. Jake Solomon told Polygon that development of the mobile version began almost a year ago and that the mobile version felt natural.

Apparently once the studio tested the mobile controls, they knew the game would work on the platform. With many games having fallen into the bad controls trap, Solomon sounds confident in the success of the controls.
