With Christmas being just around the corner, it’s safe to expect a lot of awesome sales from popular App Store developers. Joining in the mix now with EA is Square Enix, another long time favorite of ours. This time around over thirty games from Square Enix have been marked down and most notably, all of their Final Fantasy games you can now get at a significant discount. If you don’t have any credit on your iTunes account now but will get some giftcards for it on Christmas next week, you’re in luck. The wait is finally over. folks. Just yesterday, the very popular App Store developer, Square Enix, released their next installment to their Final Fantasy games, Voice Fantasy. Now, this is much unlike all the other Final Fantasy games on the App Store, in Voice Fantasy you actually talk to control the game (hence “Voice” in the title). Voice Fantasy‘s description:

In ‘Voice Fantasy’, a new type of app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch (4th generation), you and your friends’ recorded voices are used to summon characters that can be used to fight battles.
All you have to do is let your voice be recorded. The game determines tendencies in the recorded voices and summons characters with various vocations, abilities, and personalities.
The game contains three modes: ‘Single Match’, where characters battle one-on-one; ‘Tag Match’, for two-on-two battles; and ‘Demon King’, where you take down monsters. Each summoned character’s respective skills and abilities are brought to bear in heated RPG-style battles that can be enjoyed using only one device. What’s more, the battles are fully automated, making it easy for anyone to pick up and play.
Also, as a bonus feature, the voice you record is converted into a ‘character voice’ and used during battles. What kind of voice could this be…? You’ll just to play the game and find out for yourself!
‘Voice Fantasy’ is not like any fantasy you’ve seen before. Get your friends and family involved and try it out for yourself!

As of now, there’s no official iPad specific version available (or universal app), however, the description does say it’s compatible with the iPad but just doesn’t have HD graphics for the iPad I presume. Voice Fantasy costs $2.99 and weighs in at 14 MB.
