Mobcrush, the live streaming platform for mobile games, has hired former Apple App Store leader Greg Essig as well as Google Play’s Koh Kim as co-heads of business development. The addition to the Mobcrush team from the two biggest mobile platforms marks Mobcrush‘s move to make them the number one live streaming website for mobile games.

The leadership team at Mobcrush also now includes Eric Doty, former Xbox veteran, as Senior Director of Community and Content Partnerships. With Essig, Kim and Doty on the team, Mobcrush is building on their product and technology expertise to set the stage for a new phase, scaling their reach to more users and broadcasters worldwide.

Mobcrush, the live streaming platform for mobile games, has launched the public beta program for their iOS and Mac OS X apps. Available to the world’s 1.2 billion mobile gamers, Mobcrush is the first one-click, multi-platform streaming solution that allows players to livestream gameplay sessions at the touch of a button, chat with their communities in real time, and save videos for future viewing.

Since testing the iOS and Mac OS X apps over the past few months, Mobcrush has already generated a highly engaged following. During the month of June, the Mobcrush community viewed more than 2 million minutes of video on the platform, with 90% of visitors returning for more. Mobcrush has also seen the number of streamers double in size every several weeks during the private beta.

How is Mobcrush different than other streaming services like Twitch? Mobcrush allows multi-platform stream syndication, therefore letting players decide how and where they stream their content. The Mobcrush apps allow mobile gamers to stream directly from their iOS devices or Macs without the need for any additional equipment. The Mobcrush platform also offers multi-device input preferences, real-time chat, camera swap, built-in green screen, privacy mode, muting and chat moderation tools and more.
