New iPods to be Announced Next Tuesday?
Let’s face it, the latest generation iPods are pretty old and if you’re looking into buying one, you should wait it out a little longer. According to a French blog, iGen.fr, a new generation iPod touch with a 64-bit processor may be around the corner. The iPod nano and iPod shuffle should only be receiving a cosmetic change according to the rumor.
The fifth-generation iPod touch was released in October 2012 and featured a 32-bit Apple A5 processor. In June 2014, Apple slightly updated the model with new storage configurations, getting rid of 32/64GB configurations in favor of 16/32GB configurations with a slight price tweak.
The calendar app shown in the new iPods shows Tuesday the 14. We’re not sure if this was done purposely, or if it has no meaning at all. The grand question though is the iPod still relevant in this day and age?
