Steve Jobs: “We don’t track anyone”
Lately, there’s been a lot of talk going around on the iOS location issue and speculation, however, a MacRumors reader e-mailed Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, asking for clarification on the this. Here’s the e-mail conversation between the two after the break.
MacRumors reader:
Steve,
Could you please explain the necessity of the passive location-tracking tool embedded in my iPhone? It’s kind of unnerving knowing that my exact location is being recorded at all times. Maybe you could shed some light on this for me before I switch to a Droid. They don’t track me.
Steve Jobs:
Oh yes they do. We don’t track anyone. The info circulating around is false.

To be honest, I don’t believe that BS for various reasons and that this can;t be a “random bug” as some have said. One of the main reasons is the fact that Apple has access to that information at any given moment and can report it to various other companies if they wanted to. Another reason that I think this is invasion of privacy and should have legal action, which has started, along with that I think Apple should remove this tracking and have to pay some legal fees. But, what do you think?
