Excalibur Crossbows Coming Soon to ‘Bow Hunter 2015’
iEntertainment Network, the developer behind Bow Hunter 2015, has recently announced today that they have entered a partnership with Excalibur Crossbow to add Excalibur’s real-world crossbows to the game. From that we’re told, the entire line of Excalibur crossbows will be added to Bow Hunter 2015‘s online “Pro Shop” in an upcoming content update featuring 3D graphics, specifications, and full ballistics.
We’re not entirely sure on how the integration will work, however, the logical step seems to have some sort of a gyroscope-like fixture incorporated into the physical crossbow which is connected via Bluetooth to transmit the data. From there, the the crossbow would most likely have sort of a mount on it for the iOS device so the players can see where they are aiming as they move around.
On the flip side of things, this announcement could essentially mean that Excalibur’s crossbows will be available in the game as an in-app purchase. That being said, this seems more likely than having a gyroscope and iOS device mount on the physical crossbow. Sadly no more information has been given to us, however, that’s our best guess with what little we’ve been told.
As of now there’s no estimated time on when the update will be released, however, we hope it’s soon as it seems pretty exciting.
Update: We have gotten a response from the PR team of the game with the following message, “As much as I’d LOVE to have a Guitar Hero-like crossbow accessory for Bow Hunter 2015, the Excalibur stuff is indeed in-game only“.
