Apple Offering Free 30 Days of iCloud Storage to Greek users
Last month it was reported that during the Greece’s financial crisis users would be blocked from making iCloud storage purchases. This left customers wondering what would happen to their iCloud data, considering they weren’t legally allowed to purchase the additional iCloud storage. That said, it looks like Apple is stepping in by allowing customers an extra thirty days after the renewal date to renew their iCloud storage, according to iPhoneHellas.
In the email sent to customers, Apple notes that after the thirty days have past customers will have to renew their iCloud storage, otherwise their storage will be reduced to 5GBs.
Dear iCloud customer,
To prevent interruption in your iCloud service during the current fiscal crisis, and to make sure you have access to your content, we’ve extended your iCloud storage plan for an extra 30 days at no additional cost.
We won’t attempt to charge you for your plan until 30 days after your original renewal date. If we are unable to renew your plan, you may need to reduce the amount of iCloud storage you use.

Though, it’s clear that customers will have to look into third-party services in order to backup their iOS devices or store data.
