A few Apple executives met last Wednesday with Mexico’s Federal Telecommunications Institute President, Gabriel Contreras, and other commissioners to “discuss advances in health-care devices” according to Bloomberg who relayed an agenda published by the regulators website.

This lets us know that the Apple Watch may be available worldwide on launch day. This also highlights the efforts Apple is doing to regulate certain health features of the wearable device. Bloomberg has identified the Apple executives who met with the Mexican regulators as Afshad Mistri, a global health-care market manager, and Kalinda Raina, a senior manager for global privacy.

Neither the Mexican regulator nor Apple commented on the news. Starting at $349 at the base model the Apple Watch will be available in April.

The wearable device is not a standalone device and still requires an iPhone for its Wi-Fi and GPS equipped applications.
