Aliens Invade Vegas in the Newest Update for ‘Gangstar Vegas’ on iOS
Gameloft has released a brand newupdate to their hit iOS game Gangstar Vegas, a popular open-world action game for the iPhone and iPad that’s quite similar to the Grand Theft Auto series. In the new update dubbed “Gangstar vs. Aliens”, invaders from outer space have landed and they certainly aren’t here for the cheap margaritas or entertainment. So the hero, Jason Malone, must use the new weapons, both alien and human, including the much desired Jet Pack to defeat the alien invaders. There’s also nine new vehicles to drive as well as twelve additional weapons to use. Just before you think it couldn’t get any better, it does. Seven new story missions have been added along with three repeatable missions with more information on them below. As for Android users, this update is coming “very soon” according to Gameloft, so it probably won’t be much longer. To accompany the update Gameloft has released a trailer, that you can watch below, highlighting some of what has been added.
- 7 new story missions with cinematics: investigate mysterious disappearances, alien secrets and duke it out with the UFO mothership.
- 3 new repeatable missions: infiltrate the Aliens’ Base, fight waves of enemies and steal their ships to escape with outer space technology.
- 12 new weapons from Ray guns to the classic 6-shooter.
- 9 new vehicles rampage across Las Vegas in.
- New costumes and jet packs.
Current owners of Gangstar Vegas can download the update for free right now from the App Store, however, first time players will have to purchase the game for $2.99 which is not that bad for everything included. You’ll need to watch though, there are in-app purchases to obtain more in-game currency that could add up pretty quick.
