Anyone who enjoys strategic brain-teasers should now seize the chance: was launched on the App Store for only $0.99 and includes 65 challenging levels packed with puzzle fun and regular updates. Players who prefer playing their games on the iPad will also strike lucky in the App Store where they can find a new iPad version of Astroslugs with 40% more content at an introductory price of $1.99.
Astroslugs is a challenging puzzle board game in comic strip style. The player’s task is to gather enough energy for his spacecraft to capture space as one of the highly intelligent ‘Astroslugs’. When the player solves a puzzle, he activates “slugballs”, which then release their energy. As the player progresses in the game, not only does the mission difficulty level increase, but also the amount of energy that is released.
To solve a puzzle, the player must draw the ancient hieroglyphs of the Astrolugs’ ancestors in a limited game area. The placing of the shapes happens intuitively: the player draws the hieroglyphs using his finger at the place where they should appear. The challenge here is that the game area changes with each puzzle and the player must always finish it! The appeal of the game is that anyone can play Astroslugs at his own pace and with no time pressure. There are various solutions for each puzzle, and if the player gets stuck he will find some helpful suggestions for solving the puzzles incorporated in the game.
Alexander Zacherl, Managing Director of Bit Barons, says: “What sets Astroslugs apart is its progressive motivation and learning curve. As the puzzles become increasingly more difficult, the greater the incentive to solve them!
The Touch Screens on the iPhone and iPad make them perfect gaming devices for Astroslugs. The intuitive controls also allow players to quickly familiarize themselves with the game, which makes it an ideal game for casual gamers.”
