First Major Content Update launches on ‘Old School RuneScape’ for Mobile
It was just last week that the RuneScape franchise celebrated its 18th birthday with some impressive milestones such as 5 million installs of Old School RuneScape. Despite Jagex‘s mixed responses from gamers with introducing micro-transactions into RuneScape 3, they’re still introducing new and quality content to the franchise.
The latest content update expands Old School RuneScape with the release of the Kebos Lowlands, which marks the first major content update for the game since it’s mobile debut in October 2018. Inside of the Kebos Lowlands players will find a new town of Brimstone as well as a new monster, a multi headed hydra. There’s even a new slayer dungeon, a farming guild, two new novice quests and brand-new rewards. All in all this is a pretty jam packed update when it comes to new content for players to explore.
“Today’s launch marks an important milestone for Old School RuneScape as it pushes forward with new frontiers for players. Not only does the release of the Kebos Lowlands expand the game’s continent of Zeah, the very first expansion we brought to the game since its launch in 2013, but it’s also the first multiplatform expansion ever in a RuneScape game. With Old School’s sixth birthday just around the corner, Kebos Lowlands provides a great opportunity for newcomers and veterans to explore a new environment and defeat new monsters together.” – Mathew Kemp, Senior Product Manager, Old School RuneScape
Old School RuneScape is available on the App Store for free, however, there are membership options available for more content. Continue reading this post ->
