Philips Releases New 27″ HD Curved Monitor with AMD FreeSync
Philips, a Dutch technology company headquartered in Amsterdam, recently announced their brand new 27″ Full HD Curved LCD monitor with a resolution of 1080p (1920×1080). Thanks to the curve of the monitor, it puts you at the center of the desktop for a truly immersive experience and is now available on Amazon for $349. The Philips 279X6QJSW also sports AMD FreeSync technology for a smooth gameplay experience. AMD FreeSync helps eliminate choppy gameplay and broken frames with seamless performance at nearly any framerate. The technology is primarily built upon DisplayPort Adaptive-Sync, which enables AMD GPUs to control the update rate of a FreeSync-compatible monitor.
In addition the 27″ Philips Brilliance Full HD Curved LCD display uses multi-domain vertical alignment technology, which provides super-high static contrast ratios for extra vivid images. The monitor also sports an 178/178 degree extra wide viewing angle, similar to an IPS display. Based upon the specifications, the types of video input accepted are VGA, HDMI w/MHL, and Display Port. Flicker-free technology also offers a new solution to regulate brightness and reduce flicker for more comfortable viewing and less eye fatigue. The Philips 279X6QJSW also includes SmartImage, an exclusive Philips technology that analyzes the content displayed on your screen and gives you an optimized display performance.
