QuinnScape, best known for their various packing apps, has announced the release of Packing Pro version 12.1 that brings an important upgrade to improve current editing capabilities within the app. Thanks to the new update users can multi-select whole categories of items in the Master Catalog at once, rather than item by item as in previous versions.
In addition the packing list and Master Catalog search now also finds matching text entered in the notes field of individual items. This is helpful for those who enter in extra information under an item for future reference. The last important note to version 12.1 is that a few iOS 10 bugs have been fixed, which is important.
Armor Games, best known for hosts free Flash-based browser games, has released the original cult-hit zombie RPG Sonny onto the App Store for iPhone and iPad. Rising from the dead with his mind intact but memories missing, Sonny must battle paramilitary forces, ravenous techno-beasts, undead monsters and more to uncover the truth behind his resurrection.
Developed by series creator Krin Juangbhanich, the iOS edition of Sonny remixes and evolves upon its Flash-based predecessors, first released in 2007. Sporting a brand new storyline, expanded gameplay features, enhanced visuals and more, the game comes in at a price point of $2.99.
Players will discover a unique adventure with familiar faces showing up in different ways, a new story arc and ending with divergent plot twists, and original enemies and locations. The game also features detailed 2D characters and environments, graphic novel-style artwork by Jet Kimchrea and an engrossing original score by David Orr.
We’re told that a new system in the iOS edition of Sonny allows players to evolve their hero mid-battle with unique powers to turn the tide of challenging fights. Beyond that, players can customize their parties with a streamlined skill tree, upgradeable gear, and intriguing team members with special abilities.

ProTube is an amazing YouTube app, I can’t even think of watching YouTube videos on my iPhone without it. Developed by Jonas Gessner, this app already packs some amazing features so when he contacted me about testing this update the answer was already yes.
This update adds the ability to stream 4k videos at 60fps, which to my knowledge isn’t possible on iOS yet. Most notably iPhones don’t automatically support 4k video out of the box. Or do they? According to Cult of Mac it’s actually possible to sort of side-load 4k on an iPhone with an app called WALTR.
Apple packed the biggest display it’s ever made onto the iPhone 6 Plus, and while its 1920×1080 resolution is great for streaming 1080p videos, it turns out that Apple also secretly added 4K video support without telling anyone.
The iPad Air 2, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus all support 4K video playback out of the box, thanks to the new A8 processor added this year. Apple doesn’t list 4K video playback as one of the A8 chips features, but the discovery was made by the developers behind WALTR, who posted proof of 4K video playback on the iPhone 6 this weekend.
So, in theory the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 are capable of 4k. When I searched ‘4k video’ after I started testing this update I was stunned at the quality I found. There isn’t all that much in terms of content on YouTube in 4k yet, mostly nature shows but it was as though I was peering through a frame of reality and looking at real life moments.
There’s also the possibility of mirroring/displaying your iPhone or iPad to an external monitor with an Apple TV or the Lightning to HDMI Adapter.
Gessner is also adding some addition features into the app; including replying to comments, setting the default playback quality on WiFi versus Cellular, and YouTubes new volume HUD which replaces the obnoxious stock iOS version which blocks about one-eight of your screen. ProTube is $2.99 in the App Store and is worth every cent. Check it out today if you want to get the most out of YouTube on iOS.
This update should be out sometime after iOS 10 GM is released to the public. Continue reading this post ->
Keeping close tabs with Deep Silver FISHLABS over the last few days, they have announced the release of Warp Shift on the Apple App Store. With crisp graphics and gameplay, the game adds a different twist to puzzle gaming on mobile devices. Seen as how there are no timers and countdowns, playing Warp Shift is more relaxing than a tradition puzzle game. The premise of Warp Shift follows a little girl called Pi, who is drawn into the interior of a magical construct, in which time and space no longer exist. Players support Pi by reshaping the world around her on their fingertips — opening passages, creating shortcuts and removing obstacles that block the heroine’s way. Check out the trailer below to get a better look into Warp Shift:
Staying in shape in the midst of an extremely hectic work schedule has become increasingly difficult due to the fact that I have been working around 80 hours per week for the last 4 months. Needless to say, balancing the schedule is a daunting task. After discovering the new app 7 Minutes Pro – Daily Workouts, developed by Passion4Profession Inc., I can honestly say that it has changed my life.
The new 7 minutes app has really captured a niche market by implementing a short 7 minute workout in people’s schedules. By taking advantage of this new app it has not only solved my initial problem but to take it a step further I have had visible signs that my health is improving. This is because I have not only lost significant wait but I feel better as well. My mood has changed and my spirits are lifted because I have more self-confidence.
