Video: FaceTime Over 3G (Plus A How To)
Just yesterday, we posted a news article on how you can now jailbreak your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad via Mobile Safari. Well, if you happen to have an iPhone 4 and have jailbroken it, you can download an app called “My3G” that will let you do FaceTime calls over 3G. Here’s a demo video thanks to 9to5Mac:
If you want to use FaceTime over 3G, here’s how to get My3G and do to a FaceTime call over 3G:
- Jailbreak your iPhone 4 via www.jailbreakme.com on Mobile Safari.
- Download and upgrade to the latest Cydia package.
- Open Cydia.
- Go to Manage then Sources.
- Click “Sources”.
- Edit then add: http://apt.modmyi.com.
- Search for “My3G”
- Download and install it.
- Go through the Rock setup process with a username and password.
- Open My3G and leave all settings on the default.
And FaceTime should now work over 3G! Also, make sure to “Forget” the Wi-Fi network you are on (via iOS settings) if you want to test it. Let us know how this worked for you in the comments below if you have an iPhone 4.Thanks in advance!
