Hector: We Negotiate With Terrorists is the new iPad version (from the iPhone version, Hector: Badge of Carnage), which is the first of three Hector episodes. In the Future There will be more episodes coming.
Detective Hector, the main character in the game, is said to be the best person to negotiate with the Terrorist, after 12 others are dead.
Gameplay 9/10
The gameplay is fun and adventurous, which keeps you playing for a long time. During the game you play the role of the trouble-making alcoholic Detective Hector, and the main aim of the game is to find objects and use them to solve the case. Your job is to get Detective Hector to the scene of the terrorist and make him negotiate with him. Also during the game Detective Hector make many jokes and sarcastic phrases which sometimes make people laugh. If your that type of person who loves puzzle solving games, and adventurous games , this is a great game for you as it makes you think while enjoying a wonderful game. During the game there is also some swearing and sexual content which is why the game is rated 17+.
Graphics 10/10
The graphics are very nice and detailed which makes the game a tad more fun. During the game there are some video scenes, which are very detailed and really fun to watch, which also make you laugh a lot. The graphics are part of what makes the game really good.
Controls 8/10
The controls are a little hard to get used to at first and confusing but once you get used to them there okay. Single tap to look at an item, double tap to use or pick up the object and sliding our finger on the screen to look around the room . You may also combine things in your inventory by selecting two items or you may examine/use by double tapping the item.
Sound 10/10
The sound in game is really cool , with the different voice of all the people. Also Detective Hector voice is really cool and sometimes he does some funny jokes which make people laugh. The voice and sound in the game are really well made, exactly like the graphics.
Menus 9/10
The menus are really cool with a dark style into them , but there nothing very special about them . There aren’t many sub menus in the main menu, and the only setting available is for the sounds volume.
Longevity 10/10
The game is quite a long game, with different objectives in each scene or place. It is that type of game that keeps you playing until you finish it and you probably wont get bored with it much as it is a continuous game which builds up. If you’re the type of guy who likes adventures games, this game will keep you playing for a long time.
Cost 8/10
Hector: We Negotiate With Terrorists, costs $6.99 , which is quite expensive for this game . Although it has great graphics and gameplay, its price is a bit on the expensive side, but if you like adventures games, then go ahead and buy it now.
Conclusion 64/70 – 4.5/5 Stars
Hector: We Negotiate With Terrorists, is a great game, with great gameplay, graphics and sounds. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for an adventures game which will keep you playing for a long time. Also to anyone looking for a funny game.
