Nexon Announces Upcoming 150-Player Mobile MMORPG ‘AxE: Alliance vs Empire’
Korean-Japanese video game publisher Nexon has recently announced that AxE: Alliance vs Empire, their massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) is set to launch on iOS sometime later this year. We’re told that AxE is a next generation MMORPG featuring an open-world and immersive story between the Darkhaan Empire and the Galanos Alliance.
Thanks to the Unity 5 Vulkan technology that powers the game’s graphics, players can expect console-quality visuals on their iPhone or iPad. In addition AxE allows 150 players to play at once in 75 vs 75 real-time player vs player combat. Those interested can pre-register for AxE right now to receive a limited-time Starter Pack that includes in-game gear and currency.
In AxE gamers will be able to customize their character from six different classes that can be equipped with a variety of weapons, armor, abilities and more. If multiplayer games aren’t your thing, there will be a single player campaign where you can explore open-world locations and meet different characters, complete quests, and accomplish various objectives.
Right now there’s no word on exact pricing or release date, however, I expect it to most likely be free to play with some form of in-app monetization.
