Squad-based RPG ‘MARVEL Strike Force’ Released for iOS
FoxNext Games, a division of 20th Century Fox, has recently launched their free-to-play squad-based RPG set in the Marvel Universe. Dubbed MARVEL Strike Force, this is FoxNext Games first title into the mobile market and is quite impressive overall.
In MARVEL Strike Force players join with S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury to form a team of Marvel characters like Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Venom, Doctor Strange, and many more. At launch players can choose from over 60 fan characters to create powerful alliances. Thanks to the game’s design, a strategic element has been added through the ability to collect new gear and upgrades to make teams stronger.
“MARVEL Strike Force perfectly demonstrates how we use games as a driver of the Marvel brand,” said Jay Ong, Senior Vice President, Games & Innovation, Marvel Entertainment. “Featuring a wholly original storyline that has gamers mixing and matching Super Heroes and Super Villains in never-before-seen alliances, this game is authentically Marvel and one of our most highly-anticipated projects this year.”
Even though the game was released not too long ago, we’re told that FoxNext Games is already at work developing new campaigns, characters, and in-game events that will release over time. Personally speaking it’s always nice to hear this news from developers as dedication to publishing new content is important to keep players engaged.
MARVEL Strike Force is available on the App Store to download for free by clicking here, however, there are in-app purchases.
