‘PUBG Mobile’ Reaches #1 Free Download in 100 Countries
Not long after the release of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for iPhone and iPad, the game has recently claimed the the most downloaded spot in over 100 countries on the App Store. In an impressive accomplishment, PUBG Mobile has became one of the fastest games to reach the elusive #1 download spot. Released last week on March 19th, the game was met with a mostly positive reaction from players both old and new to the series.
The game is a fully-featured port, with a few minor tweaks, of the Battle Royale title that is available on Steam and Xbox. All the same content, gameplay mechanics, guns, and more from the console and desktop version that players know and love are found in the mobile variant. In terms of bringing PUBG to mobile, the developers worked together with publisher Tencent to re-recreate the same PUBG experience on smaller devices. Even though a few compromises had to be made in terms of control mechanics, PUBG Corporation and Tencent did their best to remain true to the game’s nature.
In summary though, it’s been a huge accomplishment for PUBG Mobile to reach the #1 Free Download spot in 100 different countries and as part of that I’d like to congratulate the the two teams for achieving that. Those interested can download PUBG Mobile for free on the App Store by clicking here.
