‘Puzzle Fighter’ Coming to iOS Later this Year
Many of your favorite Capcom characters will join the battle in Puzzle Fighter
Puzzle Fighter II is an iconic game. In case you haven’t heard of it, it was released in the mid-90s in arcades and then Playstation. It’s name is a parody of Street Fighter II, as there are no other Puzzle Fighter games. Capcom has developed this game from the ground up for mobile devices.
From their announcement:
The Servbots have been busy building the next iteration of Capcom’s classic Puzzle Fighter.
After a lot of hard work the fighting ring is almost ready and E. Honda will soon be opening his restaurant. Everyone here at Capcom Vancouver is incredibly excited that we’re working on bringing you the sequel to one of the most popular puzzle games of all time. We’ve developed this new mobile Puzzle Fighter from the ground up and have focused on modernizing the classic look and feel of the beloved arcade classic for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

While the graphics aren’t the greatest we’ve seen, it still looks exciting nonetheless. With the new graphics, they have achieved a modernized gameplay experience that sits on top of the classic game some of us remember from the arcade. Fans will enjoy their favorite characters like Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, X from Mega Man, and many more.
Gameplay-wise, you’ll pick one main character with two support characters that will enhance the strengths and abilities of your fighter. All in all, it looks like it’s shaping up to be a solid puzzle-tactics type game. It looks like it’s a lot of fun to play and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
