GameSir Launches iOS ‘M2 Gamepad’ at Hong Kong Electronics Fair
GameSir, best known for their various gaming controllers, have recently announced they are bringing a brand new controller to iOS dubbed the M2 Gamepad. Coming in three different colors — Maroon, Prussian Blue, and Matte Black — the M2 Gamepad features big, rubber-coated textured handles and is built for accuracy.
Best of all the controller will work on any iOS device, including the Apple TV, so if you’re in the market for an universal controller this may be an option. We’ve also been told that GameSir will be demoing the M2 Gamepad at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair on April 13-16 at booth #1A-A12. If you’re unable to make it, check out the video below for a quick overview.
The M2 Gamepad also sports an LED power indicator and according to the company, “provides incredible precision, accuracy, and reaction”. While we can’t independently test these claims at the moment, we suggest proceeding with caution and waiting for the first reviews to come out. As an Apple-certified made for iOS device, the M2 features Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and includes free GameSir apps GameSir World and Happy Chick, a retro game emulator.
Rounding things up the GameSir M2 Gamepad is set to ship May 2017 at a price point of $99, which is a bit on the higher end in comparison to other iOS controllers. The purchase includes the controller, user manual, USB chraging cable, GameSir World Guide, and the two aforementioned apps.
