World of Tanks Blitz, developed by Wargaming.net, has officially landed on the Steam platform not too long ago. Reportedly 200,000 players took part in the two Beta weekends prior to the game’s full release on Steam, and now players can put the new cross-platform matchmaker through its paces. With the release of World of Tanks Blitz on Steam, the game offers a multi-platform experience across iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac OS X. Those with a Wargaming.net ID can get direct access to World of Tanks Blitz on any device, meaning all in-game content, experience and credits will be saved.
Players can grab 4 different Pioneer Packs upon release, which include some unique tanks: the Panther 8.8, VK 45.03 and Großtraktor Krupp. As an added bonus, the special Steam camouflage “Breakthrough” will be available on all Blitz compatible devices from November 9-18.
“With the game already available on Windows, Google and Apple stores, Steam was a natural step,” said Andrey Ryabovol, World of Tanks Blitz Publishing Product Director. “We want to give our players freedom when choosing where, when, and through which channels they want to play World of Tanks Blitz. We’d like to welcome our new players and encourage everyone to join in and have fun battling across iOS, Android, Mac OS X, and Windows devices.”
World of Tanks Blitz for Steam is compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and Mac OS X. Minimum system requirements include 2GB of RAM, 2GHz processor, DirectX 9, and 3GB of available hard drive space.
