EA and DICE Announce ‘Battlefield 1’ Open Beta Starting Next Week
Not too long ago DICE, an Electronic Arts studio, officially announced the Battlefield 1 Open Beta which will begin August 31st on Xbox One, PC via Origin and PlayStation 4. Those who sign up as a Battlefield Insider and choose their platform will be eligible to receive early access to the Open Beta, so be sure to give that a look.
From what we were told, the Battlefield 1 Open Beta will feature two franchise favorite game modes — Conquest and Rush — on the new Sinai Desert map. The Sinai Desert can handle up to 64 players and includes a new controllable Armored Train behemoth, ridable horses and three new Elite Classes: Sentry, Flame Trooper and Tank Hunter.
If you’ve been out of the loop for a little while, Battlefield 1 will launch on Octover 21st of this year for all major consoles as well as PC. If you want to pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition, you can begin playing the game a few days earlier starting on October 18th.
Another caveat to note is that EA Access and Origin Access members can try Battlefield 1 before it’s released for a limited time as part of a Play First Trial starting October 13th, on Xbox One and PC. The last smaller detail includes EA Access and Origin members getting a 10% discount when purchasing the digital version of the game.
