A couple of oceans away, depending in which direction you sail, there’s a little studio working hard to put together a fun strategy game for our entertainment. Idiocracy Games may be located in Korea, but they are keeping their shoulders to the wheel to bring to the Americas and Europe their game Pirates War: The Dice King. Imagine if you could play a game that’s a fun mix between Monopoly and Hearthstone and each play session would last more or less 15 minutes as it’s meant to be played quickly. The last man, or pirate, standing with the most golden doubloons to his name shall be proclaimed victorious.
The game is very simple to pick up and start. You roll a dice and move on a board that is actually little islands. You get to buy the lands you end up on, upgrade them as you go. All in the goal of becoming the richest pirate that ever lived… in that game session at least! When someone lands on your territory, it’s all out war! You should go through a bloody battle where it’s pirate crew against crew. With a single throw of the dice you can claim victory or cry a bitter defeat and leave with less doubloons in your pocket.
Pirates War: The Dice King is a game full of whimsy and beautiful art. It features over 80 different pirates, each with different skills. This allows for some strategy and interesting team building. Skills can be upgraded and improved, turning your crew into something of your own. Maybe you want to be able to pickpocket other pirates on the board, or be able to roll double dice at your whim! A lot is possible when you can create your own crew.
The beta of Pirates War: The Dice King is starting July 8th, 2016 and they’d be happy to have you aboard! For more information about the beta you can visit the Official Beta Page and/or fill out the registration form for a chance to be selected to help beta test and possibly win some nice exclusive Pirates War-themed prizes.
