Fresh Labs Releases All-in-One Collaboration App ‘FreshTeam’ for iOS
FreshTeam, an all-in-one mobile collaboration app, has just recently launched for iOS and Android that rolls location sharing, conference calls, and team chat all into one. Using sensors on your iOS or Android device, FreshTeam automatically communicates with your team keeping them up to date on what you’re doing and where you’re at. In addition to letting your colleagues know where you’re at, FreshTeam also comes with a built-in messenger for group texts as well as walkie-talkie style voice messaging. Within the chatting portion of the app, videos, notes and pictures can also be sent. From there group calls can also be done with some added flexibility — certain members/colleagues can only be allowed and each group can have a particular name specified.
Other features include:
- Team Awareness – FreshTeam uses GPS to track down a user’s location – glance at the map and see where your coworker is. FreshTeam uses your phone’s gyroscope and accelerometer to show when you’re on the move and how you’re on the move – such as by foot or by a vehicle. Of course, it’s private and you can opt-in for location services.
Information at a glance – Users can see who’s on the phone, who’s on a conference, whose battery is low, and more. All of this information – from location to battery status – is communicated automatically using phone sensors.
- Location Sharing Schedule – Set up a location sharing schedule for yourself during work hours. You can also easily switch it off. So no concerns about folks seeing your personal weekend time, unless you’d like them to. You can also set up Places, like “The Office” to get alerts when folks get there.
“It’s a mobile world, and we are wasting hours sending trite messages, and it’s outdated,” said Manilo Carrelli, Founder of FreshTeam. “‘Where are you?’ or ‘Who’s still in the NYC office?’ or ‘Are you on the way?’” “We talked to a bunch of other folks in event management, NYC real estate, and certain medical fields and found out they are dealing with the same issues – breaking out a phone to to email/call throughout the day, for barely useful info and a lot of wasted time. So, why not create an app that put an end to all of that. Enter Freshteam.”
Because FreshTeam heavily relied on information, users can specify particular hours the app is supposed to share information. For example, FreshTeam could share information all the time, or only during business hours. As it stands, the app is free to download a while a premium offer is available for $9.99 which allows users to set FreshTeam Places for their office, customer sites, and more.
