Nexon and Envision Launch ‘Path of War’ Strategy Game for iOS
In somewhat unexpected news, Nexon and Envision Entertainment have recently launched their latest massively multiplayer mobile strategy game — Path of War — onto the App Store for iOS devices. Path of War mixes the best of action, strategy and MMO into one package and features deep base-building mechanics plus fast-paced battles. Not only that, but the game also sports a 1:1 scale map of the United States serving as the game board. Path of War also offers a massively multiplayer experience with player-vs-player skirmishes.
The game is set in a near-future United States as infrastructure has failed and rebel militias battle against a corrupt military regime to gain back control of the nation’s capital. Throughout Path of War, players design, construct, and expand every detail of their base which they will move across the U.S. as they journey to the capital. In addition they’ll have to battle other players, giving an extra challenge.
“Envision Entertainment has helped to create unforgettable free-to-play experiences with established franchises like Command & Conquer and Ultima, which we’ve all personally sunk hundreds of hours into,” said John Robinson, General Manager at Nexon M. “The persistent living world they’ve built in Path of War adds an entirely new dynamic to faction-based multiplayer games on mobile that will keep you on your toes every time you sign on.”
Working with allies can enhance players’ ability to control vital territory, as larger alliances open the door to faster strategic takeovers. As friends and foes influence each other, alliances can be forged freely between players on the persistent world map which features real-world geographical locations. Interested?
