Challenge your reaction time and multi-tasking with ‘Cube Collider’
From time to time, you want a simple but challenging game to test and improve your reaction time. Casual games are often terrific for this, because they don’t require intense gaming skills. All that you need is to be able to pay attention and react swiftly enough to complete the goals of the game. Cube Collider has recently entered the casual gaming arena on the App Store, with the idea of challenging you to do just that.
In Cube Collider, you have different colored cubes falling from above, and you need to tap the left or right side of the screen to rotate the squares so the colors match. It sounds simple, but when the cubes start falling faster and faster, it becomes quite challenging. Cube Collider will put not only your reflexes to the test, but also your ability to multi-task, as the cubes fall in different colors and you have to rotate different squares to make a match.
The game itself is addictive enough, but couple it with the catchy but simple tune playing in the background of the game and you’ve got a recipe for spending hours rotating squares and trying to catch the cubes. The graphics are simple and flat, leaving nothing to distract you from your goal of moving as quickly as you can to catch the cubes.
Cube Collider is integrated with Game Center, so you can see how you stack up against your friends in the game. There aren’t any achievements within the game, though. There is one problem with the execution of Cube Collider, and that lies with the in-app ads. On several occasions, an ad would pop up while I was in the middle of a game. It’s challenging enough trying to rotate the squares before the cubes reach them, but when you couple that with a need to dismiss an in-game advertisement, you’re sure to lose that round.
Cube Collider is designed for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and requires iOS 6.1 or later. It is available for free on the App Store, with an in-app purchase to remove the advertisements.
