Deep Silver FISHLABS Partners with Hibernum for Upcoming Game
Canadian video game developer Hibernum and German publisher Deep Silver have recently signed an agreement to create and publish a new mobile game for iOS and Android. Hibernum will lead development of soon to be announced title, while Deep Silver‘s Hamburg-based unit Deep Silver FISHLABS will be in charge of the game’s publishing and marketing.
“Since the topic and setting of our new title will be based in North America, we have specifically kept our eyes open for a partner from the North American region,” said Christian Braun, Senior Producer at Deep Silver FISHLABS. “Thanks to their first-class portfolio and vast experience as a creator of mobile games, Hibernum has been on our radar for quite some time. We are happy that we have finally found an opportunity to work with them.”
The partnership with Hibernum marks the 6th partnership with an external studio for Deep Silver FISHLABS in 2015. Earlier deals with companies include Animation Arts, ISBIT Games, Chimera Entertainment, OKAM Studio, as well as Tama Games and Mutant Games.
Hibernum has worked with renowned publishers like Disney, Wooga, Ubisoft, Konami and Warner Bros. Their recent projects include Deus Ex Universe and currently a mobile adaptation combining the popular trading card game Magic: The Gathering with the match-3 RPG series Puzzle Quest.
As of now we have no word on that the unannounced game will be with this collaboration, however, based on each company’s track record we expect it to be good. That said though, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as time goes on.
