Cosmic Forces, an award-winning animator and game developer, announced their production of Goosebumps: Night of Scares in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment. The point-and-click survival game is due for release in time for the PG-rated film, coming to theaters on October 16th, 2015. Goosebumps: Night of Scares is a multi-platform mobile adventure that will feature Jack Black voicing the role of R.L. Stine, characters from the film, and also the wider universe of monsters and stories created by R.L. Stine.
The game is being developed with Free Range Games, a team that has worked on titles including Tony Hawk, Spider-Man and Shrek. Goosebumps: Night of Scares takes players through a spooky house full of terrifying monsters and each chapter gets tougher to play as new monsters are introduced.
“Cosmic Forces will help us extend the life of the Goosebumps film into the mobile space, allowing Goosebumps fans to continue engaging with the series, and its characters long after they experience the thrill of the film,” said Mark Caplan, Vice President of Sony Pictures Consumer Products. “The animation, special effects, and scares of the mobile game will be a perfect complement to the eagerly awaited film.”
