‘1849: Gold Edition’ from SomaSim Released for iOS and Desktop
SomaSim has recently an updated version to their hit game 1849 for PC, Mac, iPad, and Android featuring brand new content and features. Dubbed 1849: Gold Edition, this new version includes all previous content plus a brand new 2-level epilogue. The base level of the game includes everything from 1849 where players transform Northern California from into an economic powerhouse by building mines, establishing farms, and attracting workers.
From there, the 1849: Nevada Silver expansion moves into Nevada with 6 scenarios set during the Comstock Silver Rush. In this expansion, trains are moving goods between distant cities, steam-powered mills boosting production, and complex mining processes bring even more money. In the brand new two-level epilogue, players take the reins in Oakland and Nevada City to rebuild their wealth-depleted economies in the post-Gold Rush era. That being said, it’s a nice twist to the game.
For PC and Mac, 1849: Gold Edition is available to purchase for $16.99. Those who want to play the game on their iOS device can download it for $3.99 on the App Store. Lastly, whoever already bought 1849 can upgrade to the two-level epilogue for free while the Nevada Silver expansion is $3.99 on PC/Mac and $1.99 for iPad.
