This week has already seen the release of some huge games. The only issue is that nearly all of the big games have been soft launched in countries like Australia, Canada and New Zealand. So if like me you live in those countries, then you have something to be excited about. If not, don’t threat! There’s still plenty of other good games that are hitting the App Store this week, and the best thing is you don’t have to find them, because we have done that for you. Enjoy!
Cloud Path (by Ketchapp) — Out Now
Walk on the path as fast as you can, and earn one point for each step you do. Collect gems and unlock new characters!
Another release by Ketchapp who release a game every other week now. The aim of the game is simple, just walk on the path and get as far as you can. If you don’t go fast enough the floor drops from below you. There are lots of cute characters to collect, and the graphic style is very pleasing on the eye.
Forsaken World Mobile (by Arc Games) — Out Now
Fantasy, legend, and myth converge in one of the most expansive mobile MMORPGs! Delve into Forsaken World, the acclaimed PC franchise, right from the palm of your hand. Raid epic dungeons and battle legendary bosses for tons of loot!
Forsaken World Mobile is the mobile version of the PC MMORPG that goes by the same name. Like most MMORPG’s you get to create a character and use one of the five available classes. You can then take this character on quests against other bosses and online users. From what I’ve played of the game so far though it doesn’t feel like anything different, and it’s another RPG that you are going to need your wallet for.
Gabriel Nights: Sins of the Fathers (by Pinkerton Studio) — Out Now
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers ®, Jane Jensen’s classic adventure game featuring a series of voodoo murders, New Orleans, forbidden romance, and the most charming womanizer you ever met, is back.
We posted that the game would release this week and it has. Gabriel Nights: Sins of the Fathers originally goes back to 1993 but now it has been re-released by Pinkerton Road Studios for a new generation of gamers to enjoy. The game has a very in depth and interesting story, including complete voice acting, animations and sound effects. Something which is quite rare for a point and click game which makes it well worth trying out.
Star Wars Uprising (by Kabam) — Out Now in AU, DEN, SWE and NZ
Star Wars: Uprising will follow events set in the Anoat Sector, where Hoth and Cloud City are located, and will allow players to create characters, go on missions, build their gear and skills, and organize crews and factions to participate in wide-ranging battles.
Star Wars: Uprising by Kabam is essentially an action role playing game but based on Star Wars. At the moment the game feels incomplete with a lack of all races, but there is a story there which is sure to suit the diehard Star Wars fans. The game has only been soft launched in Australia, Denmark, Sweden and New Zealand. There is no estimated or known worldwide release as of yet, but we will post if and when it is announced.
The Long Siege (by Anomaly Studios) — Out Now
The Long Siege is a real-time puzzle game set inside an extraordinary atmosphere of music and visuals.
This game was easily my most anticipated release for the week, just based on the art style behind the game alone. In The Long Siege it’s your role to help stop the spread of corruption that has spread across the lands and to take the lands back. The gameplay is very similar to the match 3 physics seen in You Must Build A Boat but at the same time its different because you control a whole tribe/army of soldiers moving onwards over the land. The best part of this game though in my view are the lovely animations and music track that follows them. You only have to watch the trailer to see what I am on about.
