Pegatron Hiring 40,000 New Employees ahead of iPhone 6S Production
With a little over two months before the assumed September release, Pegatron, a contract manufacturer, is looking to hire up to 40,000 new employees to ramp up production for the upcoming iPhone 6S launch, according to a report by DigiTimes. Protek, which is a branch of Pegatron, is reported to be hiring 40,000 employees starting at the end of June all the way through October, which is a month after the assumed iPhone release.
Apple is slated to sell an estimated 25 million smartphone units in the third quarter, hitting 50 million units during the Christmas quarter.
