Munich-based developer studio Chimera Entertainment and Hamburg-based mobile publisher Deep Silver FISHLABS have recently announced their partnership about the development of an upcoming hardcore mobile game. While Chimera Entertainment will control the development of the new game, Deep Silver FISHLABS is in charge of the production, marketing and live operation processes. Besides the development of AAA games such as Galaxy on Fire 2 HD, the publishing of selected titles by other developers marks an additional business segment of Deep Silver’s mobile games division.
Originally founded in 2006, Chimera Entertainment made a name for themselves as a key developer in the mobile gaming market. Just recently, they developed a mobile RPG dubbed Angry Birds Epic in cooperation with Rovio.
“Chimera Entertainment have been around for almost a decade now,“ says Andreas Stecher, Director of Business Development and Sales at Deep Silver FISHLABS. “And during their time in the industry they have proved their creativity and keen eye for captivating game concepts over and over again. We could not think of a better partner for this project and we are looking forward to a successful cooperation with one of the strongest developers of Germany’ flourishing game development scene.“
As of now from what we are told, the unannounced mobile game is planned for 2016 while the title and genre will be revealed in an upcoming announcement. Sadly it is a little disappointing that we weren’t given more information than what we have now, however, we’ll keep you updated as time goes on.
