Super Evil Megacorp Partners with ESL for First Official eSports Tournament for ‘Vainglory’
Super Evil Megacorp, developers of the hit iOS MOBA Vainglory, have partnered with ESL to hold the first official Vainglory Cup Series. The online competition begins today all across Europe, with the top two teams competing in the finals on June 14th for a cash prize and Nvidia Shield tablets. The Vainglory Cup Series 2015 marks Super Evil’s first introduction to the world of eSports, bringing mobile games to an environment ruled by PCs.
In Vainglory, players battle real opponents in console-quality game that features amazing graphics, super fast controls, powerful heroes. The gameplay is composed of players that must destroy the enemy’s Vain crystal to claim victory in 3-vs-3 multiplayer combat. The Vainglory Cup Series allows teams to collect points during nine qualifier rounds on the way to the online finals. The top eight teams after the qualifying phase will advance to the elimination rounds. From there, the top two teams will compete on June 14th to determine who goes home with the grand prize.
