Most thought they’ve heard the last of Scott Forstall back in 2012, when he was ousted from Apple. On Friday afternoon the former iOS chief in his first ever tweet announced that he is producing a Broadway musical, “Fun Home” and will be available this Sunday.
At first glance, Forstall’s name is no where to be found on the Fun Home website. But, a quick search reveals the show’s playbill, which lists Scott and his wife Molly as the producers. This is Scott and Molly’s first foray on Broadway after years in Silicon Valley.”
Here’s the full scoop from the playbill:
This is Scott and Molly Forstall’s first foray on Broadway after years in Silicon Valley. They share their love of theatre with their children, Freya and Nils, both of whom are enthusiastic theatergoers and performers. Thanks to Carole for the magnificent journey.
I’m thrilled to be co-producing the Broadway musical Fun Home http://t.co/PqrKKZGcxY opening this Sunday. Bravo to the phenomenal team!

The ex-executive is credited with the success of the iPhone and iPad, though he had a reputation for being tough to work with. Forstall went silent after he was kicked off the Apple executive team in 2012 and the announcement of his first Broadway musical production is his first public comment ever since.
