Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have recently announced that Mortal Kombat X for iOS is now available to download on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Developed by award-winning game designers NetherRealm Studios, the game features impressive graphics and brings the iconic Mortal Kombat gameplay experience mobile devices.
Mortal Kombat X combines fighting and card collection for a whole new way to experience the Mortal Kombat franchise, which is designed just for touchscreen devices. More than 24 fighters make up the initial roster, including characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kano and Raiden, as well as new characters like Cassie Cage, D’Vorah and Kotal Kahn. Players can collect upgradeable gear improve up their fighters and unlock finishing moves for an extra touch. Daily events and online multiplayer battles are also available for players to take advantage of when playing the game. Additionally, we’ve been told that a “Challenge Mode” may be coming soon as well.
Once the console and PC versions of Mortal Kombat X release on April 14th, cross-platform gameplay and integration will go live. This feature will introduce team-based Faction Wars for the first time ever, and let players unlock special content by completing tasks and achievements.
