‘Mortal Kombat X’ Coming to iOS This Year, Trailer Released
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has recently announced that Mortal Kombat X, a free-to-play fighting/card-battler hybrid game, is heading to the App Store for iOS devices later this year. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, the game delivers fantastic graphics and allows players to bring a Mortal Kombat gameplay experience anywhere with them. Best of all, Mortal Kombat X will be available sometime next month to download as well.
As the next generation of fighting games, Mortal Kombat X will feature a mix of fighting, card collecting, and multiplayer team combat. From there, the game will also sport legendary Mortal Kombat characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Raiden and plenty more.
Still not excited yet? The console and PC versions of Mortal Kombat X will also be available starting on April 14th, 2015. When the game is launched, players who own either the console or PC versions can unlock content in the mobile game and vice-versa by signing up for a WB Play account and completing various tasks and achievements.
“NetherRealm Studios has created a Mortal Kombat X mobile experience that allows more players than ever before to play this over-the-top fighting game through their ever-present smartphones, tablets or other devices,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios. “What’s more, we’ve expanded the unique cross-connectivity feature that links the mobile and console versions of Mortal Kombat X, delivering unique rewards to all players for simply playing the mobile game.”
As of now this is all the information we have available, however, we’ll be sure to keep you posted as more heads our way.
