The iPad and iPod Touch has always had an engraving option, through the Apple Online Store. A new rumor coming from France is now claiming that Apple’s new wearable device will also be engraved. French blog iPhonote mentioned this report from an anonymous source involved with Apple that the company will be laser engraving the Apple Watch for free.
With the Apple Watch being billed as “Apple’s most personal device ever,” being able to laser engrave the device will reinforce the personalization aspect of the device. The Apple Watch itself is a very small device and we think it’d be pretty difficult for them to put a laser engraving on the device. We don’t know where they’d put it on the device.
Apple’s Spring Forward event is going to be held on Monday, March 9th, and we suspect Apple to unveil more information about the wearable device, which may include an engraved Apple Watch.
