According to Apple’s official data shared with developers, iOS 8 is now running on 75% of devices capable of running the App Store as of March 3, 2015. As of two weeks ago, Apple’s latest OS was running on 73% of iPhone, iPad, and iPod touches which represent a 2% increase from two weeks ago.
In comparison, Android’s latest operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop, is only running on 3.3% of devices. While it’s predecessor 4.4 KitKat is running on 40.9 precent of devices. These numbers simply don’t compare. It’s also worth noting that these are devices capable of connecting to the Google Play Store.
