A South African pilot may have taken the name MacBook Air too literally. Managing to drop the device when the planes canopy flew open. The MacBook Air, along with his flying license and logbook fell 1,000 feet into an open field. Surprisingly, it survived the drop.
The unibody casing was bent, the glass trackpad and the cooling systems were non-functional. But the laptop managed to boot, and seems to be fully functional.
The items were found by a farmer and the flying license enabled the man to contact the owner via Facebook.
