Apple Pay Coming to Canada in March
In the United States we’ve been enjoying Apple Pay, I know I am. According to a report by 9to5Mac, Apple will be launching Apple Pay internationally to places such as Canada in March. Apple first launched the service in the U.S. and supports various banks and card issuers.
According to Apple, the service launched with support for 83% of credit and debit cards in the US. Last month Apple noted that they are now supporting over 90% of banks, credit, and debit card issuers in the US. The report says Apple is working on getting marketing and promotional materials for Marc, which indicates that the service will be available as early as March.
Though, only being available since November, Apple Pay now accounts for 1.7% of all mobile payments in the US.
