According to a new report from MacRumors, Apple will finally begin selling SIM-Free unlocked models of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus beginning on September 6 through their online and retail stores. Apple currently sells the iPhones on AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile (which is unlocked). An unlocked iPhone would mean the customer will be able to decide which carrier they want without restrictions. They’ll also be able to use their iPhones overseas.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus start at $649 and $749 respectively for 16GB, and go up in price with higher storage capacities.
