Indie Prize, a scholarship program for indie developers created by the Casual Games Association, has recently announced the games accepted for the Indie Prize Showcase at Casual Connect Eastern Europe which takes place from November 10th – 12th, 2014. A total of 42 games from 24 countries will be competing for the Indie Prize Award in 7 different categories, including Best Family Friendly Game, Most Innovative Game, and Best Game Design.
For those that don’t remember, we highly recommend you check out our coverage of Casual Connect USA that took place in San Francisco earlier this year. To say the least, Casual Connect USA was tons of fun and we were invited again to attend the Eastern Europe conference, so we couldn’t pass up the fantastic opportunity. Additionally you can expect to see PocketFullOfApps judging the Indie Prize portion, however, we’ll have more details on our coverage in the following weeks.
“It was really difficult to select the games for this showcase, mostly because we couldn’t stop playing them!” said Yulia Vakhrusheva, Director of Indie Prize. “Each game is a unique piece of art. My wish for them is to find their audience, niche, and all the attention they deserve. We hope this event can be that crucial push for these games and their creators.”
Rather than go through the entire list of developers, head on over to the official website to see the full list along with more information on the games. Not only is the Indie Prize showcase sponsored by us, other fantastic companies like Amazon, Intel, Splitforce, Photon Realtime, Unity, and Plantronics Gaming are sponsoring the event. Last but certainly not least, we’ll keep you updated on our coverage plans for the event once it gets closer.
