Prong, the same folks who we met at MacWorld earlier this year, have announced that their flagship product, the Prong PocketPlug, has secured major retail and online distribution and will be available at select AT&T stores, starting with the retail location on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. In addition, the PocketPlug will also be available at Brookstone stores, and on SharperImage here in the coming months and will retail for $59.95. Optimally designed to charge iPhones in any standard electrical outlet, those who use the PocketPlug don’t need charging cords or external battery packs. Instead, the PocketPlug uses two charging plugs built into the phone case’s design to immediately charge your phone wherever there is an outlet. Thanks to the design of the case, the two retractable charging plugs can be easily deployed with the flick of a finger. When you’re done charging, the plugs also fold flat inside the PocketPlug for streamlined look when the charger is not in use. Other features also include:
- Enhanced Audio Engineering: designed to enhance the quality and clarity of the phone’s volume speaker and microphone when in use.
- Durability: the PocketPlug features high-grade polycarbonate with a soft touch rubber finish to withstand wear and tear.
- Worldwide Voltage Compatibility: ideal for the frequent traveler, the PocketPlug provides worldwide voltage compatibility of 100-240V and 50-60Hz.
- Micro USB Port: provides users the option to charge mobile devices the traditional way, using a Micro USB cable.
