‘VadoVia’ App Review for iPad
VadoVia is incredibly unique, and to put it into words, it’s a travel companion. But unlike most travel guides, VadoVia is curated by other users/travelers, sharing their experiences all across the world and compiling some of the best tours, tips and information to have when you visit somewhere. I love traveling so bringing along my iPad was a no-brainer for me — although I never saw it as more than a reading and media-consumption device. Once I had discovered VadoVia, I found it to be more useful in my exploration of an area than anything else.
When traveling before I would use paper guides with places to see and things to buy, in actuality they were all made by the hotels to looking to make a quick buck. With VadoVia it’s much more personal — each and every tour is made by people like you or I, and what I gained from these tours was astonishing. Suddenly I was discovering so much more and exploring culture in every corner of the places I visited. Better yet, I even discovered some great tips along the way. Before leaving my accommodation, I could decide what tour I wanted to pick by seeing reviews from other users.
Essentially, you can search for tours created by other users and these can feature photos, videos, notes and stops, letting you explore any area that you visit. VadoVia is still a growing community, so you won’t find a tour everywhere, but for the places I visited, I could at-least find a couple of great tours. It’s also really easy to create your own tours, add locations, stops and so much more then give back to the community. In-fact, there is no better way to describe VadoVia than calling it a community as it’s exactly that. I could select tours filtered by walking, biking or driving distances making each tour suitable for my plans on that day. Or I could store all of my greatest memories on the go and virtual send postcards to my loved ones, letting them know that I am safe and having a great time.
In conclusion, I think that VadoVia is great — it’s a travel companion with a vast library of user-curated tours reaching from every corner of the planet. I learned more, discovered more and made the most out of the places I went to by listening to those who know the area the best, not by using paper guides with a single aim of making money. Culture, art, entertainment, pizza, restaurants, sights and so much more — there are tours for everything, for anyone. Whether you value the sights or the urbanization, VadoVia has something for you.
