‘Camera Plus’ App Review
If you are a proud owner of an iPhone, evidently you should have the best quality snaps in your device gallery. Many users use the iPhone as their primary camera device avoiding the intense DSLR’s. To the extreme, the recent iPhone 5S has an alluring lens on its back that many loves till date. That’s the story, did you ever feel the lack of added features in the core iOS camera app comparing to the diverse default Android camera apps? Of course, you might be just like me. This is why developers dig a lot into this category and the end result? A bunch of mighty camera apps with colorful enhancements to your photos.
Camera Plus developed by Global Delight Technologies is not a new app at least for me. I used to play with it for many months as my primary camera app long before and later switched to Snapseed. Now checking back to Camera Plus with a new design and fully optimized for the iOS 7 is very impressive again! I am really overwhelmed with the new look of Camera Plus and it is a treat to edit your photos.
The app opens up with an intuitive UI where you can fine-tune the focus from the top. Focusing an object with the app is a real delight. You can adjust the focus to Macro for a closer object, “Normal” for a regular focus and finally “Far” to focus a distant object, which is my personal favorite. Focusing is really fast in all the modes especially the app gains the top focus in the “Far” mode which is good thing.
You can switch back to the front camera or video from the screen easily as there are no inner settings that may bamboozle many people. Another stunning feature with Camera Plus is the “Lumy”. This is again an remarkable feature that makes user to adjust the brightness in real-time while taking a picture. Again, this is very useful if you are capturing in natural conditions with bright sunlight where some areas may be fade out.
The app has a lot of other features where you can change the shutter button even bigger, turn on the image stabilization for shaky hands, burst mode that captures number of photos with a single click and a timer for auto capturing. You can set the image resolutions as you wish and enable the geo-tag feature to store your location. That is not the end — you have several other features to adjust the images once you are done with the snap.
You can tweak the brightness, saturation and contrast for a better editing. Pix’d is an added feature that gives some additional exposure and sharpness to your final photo. In case if you want some secret photos — you have a lock option to hide them as well. Camera Plus is definitely a creditable app if you are really focused into making some good snaps on the next vacation. There are plenty of features that enhance the photo quality and distinctly most of them are useful in real-life photo taking.
