‘Lords of Darkness’ Coming in August from Kingnet Technology!
Today, Kingnet Technology announced their newest strategy mobile game, Lords of Darkness, available first on iOS this August. Unlike existing strategy mobile games such as Clash of Clans or Kingdom of Camelot, Lords of Darkness features a fully controllable battle system. When one player invades another player’s citadel, each side will take turns commanding their units and devising a strategy on a hexagonal grid, much like that of the classic Heroes of Might and Magic series.
Each unit and hero has its own strengths and weaknesses, players may outwit their opponents by planning and executing a more effective strategy. The possibility of advanced maneuvers allows die-hard strategy game fans to show off their thinking muscles and pull off incredible comebacks even when outnumbered. To attract players, the developers also created a completely fair ladder match system with both sides each receiving an identical amount of units and commanding two equally powerful heroes.
“There is a growing trend that the player who pays the most should win,” says Daniel Chiu, project manager of Lords of Darkness, “but we believe giving big advantages to paying players destroys the fun of games, especially strategy games. Like chess, Lords of Darkness is designed so the player with the best strategy, rather than the deepest pockets, will win.”
Lords of Darkness will be available for free and worldwide on iOS this August. Like always, we’ll keep you updated as we get more information.
