New “Waterfront” Update Released for ‘The Simpsons: Tapped Out’
Just recently, EA has announced the release of a new “Waterfront” update for The Simpsons: Tapped Out across all mobile device platforms. The update includes the introduction of Springfield’s infamous boardwalk, “Springfield Squidport” to the game so that players can take their town directly onto the water, in addition to a host of new characters and buildings familiar to the TV show.
The “Waterfront” update is the latest in-game experience tied directly to the Simpsons TV show. In addition to “Springfield Squidport”, a revived waterfront shopping promenade that once housed a thriving squid-gutting industry, the update also includes:
- Land Expansions: Over 30 new plots of land, with some right on the water, allowing players to develop their Springfields just how they want.
- New Decorations and Buildings: Proudly showcase the “Springfield Squidport”, enjoy rides on the Ferris Wheel, dine on deep-fried delicacies at the Frying Dutchman and much more. With over 20 new decorations and buildings available, the Boardwalk will soon become the highlight of Springfield.
- New Characters: Prepare for this new adventure beyond the shore with the Sea Captain, Handsome Pete and an assortment of other seaside entertainers.
- New Quests: Will the Sea Captain find his place on dry land or will Homer’s insatiable hunger put him out of business and adrift at sea?
