Gamelion Celebrates 10 Million ‘Monster Shooter’ Downloads with Announcement of ‘Monster Shooter 2: Back to Earth’
The monster-blasting alien and his sidekick kitty are back in Gamelion‘s highly anticipated sequel, Monster Shooter 2: Back to Earth for iOS. The original Monster Shooter has achieved a staggering 10 million downloads across multiple gaming platforms, and already spawned an expansion game, Monster Shooter: The Lost Levels.
Now, one year later, the official sequel is ready to blast its way onto the iOS App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore. Monster Shooter 2: Back to Earth features a whole new story as players get their finger back on the trigger and take on hordes of bizarre monsters in an effort to defend the planet.
For the first time in the franchise’s epic history, Monster Shooter will be available with full HD Retina graphics, and include a high-octane cooperation mode so you can take out the invaders with a gun-toting buddy. Boss battles have also been added to the action, making this not only a major update to the Monster Shooter series, but a powerhouse free-roaming shooter for the smartphone platforms.
“After such a phenomenal and unstoppable success, we’re delighted to announce the official sequel to our Monster Shooter game,” says Gamelion product manager Wojtek Wronowski. “This franchise has performed incredibly well, and we’re very proud of the reaction it’s had from gamers all over the world. And we know those gamers are going to love Back to Earth even more.”
“It’s taken a lot of work for us to pack in so many missions, new game modes, a devastating arsenal for the main character Dumdum, and such captivating objectives,” Wronowski continues, “but it’s been worth it. The game is insanely addictive and impossible to put down.”
Monster Shooter 2: Back to Earth will be available for free and is scheduled for a Q2 2013 release on the iTunes App Store.
