‘Kitaru’ Surpasses Kickstarter Goal and Targets Stretch Goals
Aoineko Studios, an award-winning gaming and animation studio based in Phoenix, Arizona, previously announced the launch of their Kickstarter campaign on Thursday, April 19, to raise development funds for their new 3D role playing game called Kitaru. Aoineko Studios is thrilled to announce that, not only did they reach their funding goal of $25,000, they have now surpassed it.
Aoineko Studios would like to formally thank everyone for their continued support on the project. As a special thank you, two key members of the Kitaru voice cast star in a special video to all of the Kitaru supporters. They are Yuri Lowenthal, voice of TV’s Ben 10, the prince in The Prince of Persia, and Soulcalibur V, and Tara Platt, highly-regarded for her work on Final Fantasy XIII, Naruto, Bleach, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Although the Kitaru Kickstarter campaign has reached its funding goal, the Aoineko team will be working to attain the following stretch goals:
- $35,000 – Real-time Facial Animation and Voice Recording for ALL In-game Dialogue
- $50,000 – Five Additional Game Levels, Extended Story, Spanish Language Version, German Language Version, Italian Language Version
“Thank you so much to each and every Kitaru contributor, and everyone who has helped us to spread the word about our project. We hope to continue to gain support and momentum as the campaign comes to a close in the hopes that we can reach our stretch goals and give gamers the absolute best gaming experience possible.” -Ben Steele (Creator of Kitaru, owner of Aoineko Studios)
The Kickstarter campaign ends later today, however, if you want to contribute you can see the page via this link.
