Tweak Week #4
Welcome back my friends of the Internet. I am Foozelz and this is another installment of Tweak Week. This week we will be reviewing some helpful tweaks that give more shortcuts and improves the system all around.
Have you ever been installing a game, and while waiting, you played another game and forgot about that game that was downloading? There is a tweak for that, and this tweak has even more than that. What we are talking about here is Notificator by McNight. Notificator puts almost every device action into a nice little banner. App just installed and your already in a different application? A nice banner will appear at the top telling you that it just got installed and if you tap on it, it’ll bring you to the app. Turned on Bluetooth? Banner. Airplane mode? Banner. There is basically a banner for everything, and it’s really awesome. It also replaces the “20% battery left” pop-up so that it turns in into a banner. If you think that this is useless, think again!
Notificator is $0.99 in Cydia.
Ever needed shortcuts on the homescreen? Like turning off Wi-Fi, activating AirPlane mode, turning on and off Bluetooth? Deck from SBCoders is what will fill that gap. Deck is a sidebar on the HomeScreen that has useful shortcuts such as rebooting, going to the Camera application, activating Siri/VoiceControl, toggling WiFi, Bluetooth, Muting and Unmuting. It’s got a lot more than I’ve mentioned! So you don’t need to go into the Settings app just to turn off Wi-Fi when you could just activate Deck and just toggle it off there. It’s a nice tweak with a great design and it’ll help you with the small stuff. The UI looks just like the Multitasking Bar, which is also neat. So if you need better shortcuts, Deck is what you want.
Lastly, we have iKnowIt, which kills the “20% Battery Left” after it pops up just once. It’s useful if you don’t want a banner and you just want the pop-up to only pop -up once. Don’t wo3rry though, as soon as you charge it again, the pop-up will come up again. It’s good if you’re in a game and when your battery is low and you do not want it to pop-up a thousand times. Sadly, I wish I could talk more about it but it ‘s a real simple tweak, but it’s really good.
iKnowIt is Free in Cydia.
